Eggnog waffles are creamy, fluffy, sweetly spiced with nutmeg, and make a decadent holiday breakfast!

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 cup eggnog (see notes)
  • 1 egg, separated


  1. In a small bowl, beat the egg whites on high until they form stiff peaks. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg, and salt. Pour in the melted butter and eggnog, add the egg yolk, and beat ingredients together until smooth.
  3. Gently fold in the beaten egg whites.
  4. Pour your waffle batter into your waffle iron and cook according to the manufacturer's directions.

Recipe Notes

Recipe yields approx 6 waffles, which feeds 2-3 people (depending on how hungry you are!)
