Personal Data Collection
Breakfast for Dinner collects personal data via comments, newsletter sign up, cookies, and analytics.
COMMENTS: Collection of data via comments is through names, email addresses, and website addresses. All personal information is inputted by each Visitor voluntarily. If a Visitor uses Gravatar to make a comment, and is logged in, their profile picture, in addition to their name, email address, and website address, will also be shown to the public. If a Visitor leaves a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. Additionally, this Site collects Visitors’ IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. Each Visitor has the option to rate recipes anonymously without making a comment.
NEWSLETTER SIGN-UP: Breakfast for Dinner’s newsletter is an emailed subscription service conducted via MailChimp. We require a visitor’s email address to sign up for the newsletter, and will only send newsletters to Visitors who have subscribed. The newsletter features recipes, site news and updates, and/or related product or service information. Subscribers may opt-out of the newsletter at any time, and detailed opt-out instructions are included at the bottom of each email.
ANALYTICS: Breakfast for Dinner may collect non-personal identification information about Visitors whenever they interact with our site. Non-personal identification information may include IP address, country of location, browser name, operating system, and other similar information. This information is aggregated by Google Analytics.
Third Party Advertising
Visitors may find advertising or other content on Breakfast for Dinner that link to the websites and services of our partners, suppliers, advertisers, sponsors, licensors and other third parties. These third parties may set cookies. These cookies allow the ad server to recognize a Visitor’s computer each time they send an online advertisement to compile non personal identification information about a Visitor or others who use that computer. This information allows ad networks to, among other things, deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to the Visitor.
How We Protect Your Data
Breakfast for Dinner will never sell, trade, or rent Visitors’ personal identification information to others. We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding Visitors and users with our business partners, trusted affiliates, and advertisers for the purposes outlined above.
We adopt appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information provided to us by Visitors through this site but we make no assurances about our ability to prevent any such loss to you or to any third party arising out of any such loss, misuse, or alteration. Additionally, we are not responsible for republished content from this site on other blogs or websites without our permission.
